One of the key areas of swimming pool management is pH control. The preferred choice is carbon dioxide which provides a clean, safe and simple alternative to using mineral acids.

Carbon dioxide is used in swimming pools to optimise the pH level, ensuring it is neither too acidic or alkaline.

When dissolved in water, carbon dioxide reacts to form a carbonic acid and other reactive compounds. These react with alkaline solutions to reduce the pH to a more desired level.
